George Bush recently sat down with Matt Lauer and discussed his new book. In the book he talks about one of the “most disgusting events of [his] presidency.”

He told Lauer, “He called me a racist.”

Lauer did clarify what Kanye actually said, “George Bush doesn’t care about black people.” However, Bush stood by his statement, responding with “That’s – ‘he’s a racist,'” Bush said. “And I didn’t appreciate it then. I don’t appreciate it now. It’s one thing to say, ‘I don’t appreciate the way he’s handled his business.’ It’s another thing to say, ‘This man’s a racist.’ I resent it, it’s not true, and it was one of the most disgusting moments in my Presidency.”

This is the first time George Bush has been able to candidly talk about events of his presidency. While George Bush probably isn’t a racist, he could have easily prevented that from happening by helping Louisiana and New Orleans faster.

George Bush’s new book should be an entertaining read, for numerous reasons, mainly comedy, however might add some much needed insight to other events such as the War in Iraq and the weapons of mass destruction.
